Employees can be allowed to work in the "home office" mode only on the basis of the employee's Application for permission to work in the "home office" mode. An integral part of the employee's application for a home office work permit is the "Employee's Affidavit". Before starting work in the "home office" mode, the employee is obliged to successfully complete training on the conditions of safe work in the "home office" mode.

The employee will perform the home office at the address agreed with the employer. The employee is obliged to notify his immediate superior of a change in the place of work in the "home office" mode.

The internal regulation regulates the time periods within which the employee will schedule his working hours, in particular the possibility of the employee scheduling his working hours on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and at night (i.e. between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.) is excluded.

The assistance of any third parties by the employee when using the home office is excluded, the employee is obliged to do the work exclusively personally.
Can a family member help the employee while working in the "home office" mode?

The method of transmitting the results of the employee's work is determined by the employer, as a rule, these results will be transmitted electronically through a tool specified by the employer. In case of any problems, the employee is obliged to contact his direct supervisor during the use of work in the "home office" mode.
How does the employee hand over the work results to the employer?

The employer will equip the employee with the necessary equipment for the performance of work in the home office. The employee has the obligation to properly manage these devices, guard them and protect them from damage, loss, destruction and misuse. In the case of providing equipment, the price of which exceeds CZK 50,000, an agreement on responsibility for the loss of entrusted items will be concluded with the employee.

The employee will immediately notify the employer of any damage or defects to the provided equipment. Without the prior consent of the employer, the employee may not use the provided devices for private purposes, nor leave them for use by third parties.

The obligation of confidentiality agreed with the employee also applies when working in the "home office" mode. If the employee works from home, he must ensure adequate protection of confidential information in relation to all third parties who may be present at his workplace during the "home office" performance.
Does an employee in the "home office" mode have a duty of confidentiality if it is agreed with the employer?

With regard to the employer's security standards, the obligation to protect personal data and confidential information, the employee may not use any of his private devices to work with the employer's data or documents, access, programs or systems, platforms or accounts in the services used by the employer, even during the home office.
Can an employee use their personal devices while working in "home office" mode?

During the "home office", the employee is obliged to comply with all the rules and principles of work safety as they were introduced to them by the employer, in relation to the place where he will perform the "home office", in particular he pays attention to:
- compliance with the workplace standard (position of the monitor, keyboard, use of the mouse, adjustment of the seat),
- compliance with work breaks,
- safe use of electrical devices on the employer's property,
- prohibition of work in case of health problems,
- reporting an injury to the employer related to working at the "home office".
Is the employee obliged to observe breaks when working in the "home office" mode?

The employee will notify the employer of any health complications that are or may be related to the home office and, if necessary, will see a doctor. The employee shall notify the employer (especially by email or telephone) of any temporary incapacity for work immediately after becoming aware of it.

The employee shall refrain from all activities that increase the risk of occupational accidents in the household. The employer is not responsible for damage that the employee suffers during the performance of the "home office", if it is not directly related to the performance of work, nor for damage to private devices and objects that the employee used to perform work from home without the prior consent of the employer.

The duties of employees in the field of health and safety and occupational hygiene are an integral part of their work duties and can be specified by authorizing the executive to perform some other duties, these regulations are also reasonably valid for the performance of work in the "home office" mode.
